Yoga is widely used in eating disorders in a variety of settings. But how do you offer Yoga that is accessible to your client that struggles with binge eating disorder yet practice within your scope? Learn how to integrate simple Yoga techniques in your nutrition counseling sessions, while acquiring knowledge about the physiological and psychological benefits of Yoga for your client.

  • Describe the elements of Mindfulness-Based Yoga and how it can be integrated into treatment protocols for a client with binge eating disorder.
  • Discuss the benefits of mindfulness-based yoga for an individual who struggles with binge eating disorder.

Speaker Biography: BEVERLY PRICE, RD, MA, E-RYT 200, C-IAYT, CEDRD-S, is a certified eating disorder registered dietitian and IAEDP supervisor, experienced registered yoga teacher and IAYT certified yoga therapist. Beverly is recognized for bringing mindfulness-based yoga to the eating disorder treatment community along with yoga therapy training programs in eating disorders for professionals. Beverly has created, cultivated and sold various healthcare businesses. In her career, she has also consulted with healthcare entities who wish to maximize their bottom line.
