Synopsis:    This webinar will present the basics of using Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) in the nutritional counseling of eating disorders. It will provide information and case studies allowing RDNs new to the field of eating disorders to create effective client sessions.

Speaker Biography:  

Charlotte has been counseling, supervising, and teaching in the field of sports nutrition and eating disorders for the past 17 years.  She recently became the first Director of Sports Nutrition at The College of Charleston and coauthor of Winning the War Within. Charlotte is a Board Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics, a Certified Eating Disorder Registered Dietitian and Supervisor and a Fellow of the Academy of Dietetics and Nutrition. She is past BHN Chair, past President of the South Carolina Academy of Dietetics and Nutrition and the current Delegate to the AND house of delegates for the South Carolina.  In 2013, she founded The South Carolina Coalition for Overcoming Eating Disorders. Charlotte also volunteers for several community organizations.  She has spoken locally, nationally and internationally and appeared on radio, television and written news articles.  When she isn’t at the gym watching her daughter play basketball or fueling her daughters travel basketball team, you can find her on her paddleboard in the Charleston waters or walking her dog Hazel in the neighborhood.
