Are there any duties or responsibilities that you have in your position that you’d like to highlight?
I am responsible for the development and implementation of nutrition-related programming.  This requires creativity and a tremendous understanding of the population I work with, adults with autism.
 
How long have you been in the Behavior Health Nutrition area?
10 years
 
Can you describe your journey to working in behavioral health nutrition? Any specific milestones or experiences?
I have worked with adults with developmental disabilities throughout my career and have no plans to change.
 
Why did you join BHN?
A peer mentor suggested that it would be a great way to network and get ideas; she was right.
 
Are there any specific benefits, resources, or opportunities that you find particularly useful with your membership?
Of special note are the strong relationships that I have built in my time in the BHN DPG.
 
How has BHN helped you professionally?
BHN has helped me build collaborative relationships and professional network.
 
What do you think other RDN’s should know about BHN?
That it is a diverse group that goes beyond Eating Disorders.
 
A little about me:
My second book addressing research on health promotions for adults with Autism will be published this year by the American Association on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.
